Bad Weather: Train Cancellations in South of France

Due to weather conditions in the South of France, disruptions have been confirmed on rail journeys within France until December 2nd.

Cancellation are on services TGV France - Spain train operating between Barcelona - Paris/Beziers/Narbonne. All international train routes of Renfe-SNCF in Coopération are cancelled.

Special trains will run in order to facilitate the reassignment of travellers with valid tickets on below itinerary and ONLY these ones:


Paris to Barcelona: 10:07 AM

Barcelona to Paris: 09:25 AM

Beziers/Narbonne/Narbonne to Barcelona


In order to travel on these alternative trains, they have to contact Renfe/SNCF staff members at the station who will explain the boarding process.


Trains between Paris and Montpellier are still operating.


If they decide not to travel on alternative transportation means offered, as they are already in France or Spain, they can ask for an exchange to a later train/date directly in the station free of charge, including for non-exchangeable/non-refundable fare.


In case they decide not to travel at all, their ticket needs to be pre-cancelled at the station and endorsed as not used by a railway official. In the case of electronic tickets, the endorsement is to be stamped on the A4 printed ticket – on the side of the QR code.


Please be informed that refund requests for their tickets must be submitted via Rail Europe's After Sales link. Refund requests must be received by Rail Europe no later than 45 days after the original date of travel. Requests received after this date will not be processed.


We are very sorry for any inconvenience that they shall be experiencing because of weather conditions and both the Railways personnel in station and your local Rail Europe customer support center remain at their disposal if your passengers need further assistance.
