Rail Plus celebrates and rewards first ever Corporate Rail Experts

Wednesday, 19 October 2011

Rail Plus honoured the participants in its inaugural Corporate Rail Experts program today with a graduation ceremony in Sydney at which Travelworld Nowra owner-manager Jennie Dicker was unveiled as the 2011 Dux.

A total of 25 corporate travel agents from across Australia were invited to participate in the exclusive Corporate Rail Experts program, which saw participants complete a series of online training modules on global rail networks, products and services.

As this year's top graduate Dicker received two return tickets to Europe flying Emirates, two Eurail Global Flexi Passes and two tickets on Eurostar. In addition, her company will benefit from free advertising in a business-related magazine of her choice.

Runner up Julia Enders from Travelforce Private won a ticket to the 2012 National Travel Industry Awards next year (including one nights' accommodation in Sydney), and third placed Kate Bennett from Travelworld Coffs Harbour will travel to Melbourne in December to attend this year's TraveLeague Christmas Luncheon.

Five of the new Corporate Rail Experts will also experience some of the world's most exciting high-speed rail networks in November when they travel to Europe on a 10-day famil hosted by Rail Plus and partners, Emirates, Eurostar and Citadines Apartments.

The group - chosen based on their sales of Emirates and Eurostar tickets during the six-week Rail Experts program - includes:

- Karen Borg - Pure Travel
- Karen Hamilton - Elite Travel
- Melissa Pointon - Concierge Business Travel
- Larissa McKenzie - Hunter Travel Group
- Robyn Martin - Jetset Camden

All graduates of the Corporate Rail Experts program received a Eurail Global Flexi Pass for 15 days travel in two months.
