Saturday, 15 August 2009

Rail Plus has a France-Italy Pass for exploring France and Italy in the one trip.

These two European countries are the most popular with Australians, according to Rail Plus, with many combining the countries.

The most popular is the seven day pass which has First and Second class rates and Saver prices when two to five people travel together for the entire trip.

First Class passes are $692 adult, $348 child (4-12 years), $600 adult saver and $303 child saver. Second Class passes are $600 adult, $303 child, $439 youth (under 26), adult saver $529, child saver $267.

Depending on their itinerary, travellers can choose a pass which allows between four and 10 days rail travel within two months. A day of rail travel is a 24 hour period from midnight to midnight and allows unlimited travel on any number of trains each day of use. Travel days can be used consecutively or non-consecutively.
A Pass Issuance Fee of $12.00 per pass is extra.
