General information:

Bushtracks Express:

  • This service runs on Tuesdays and Fridays
  • Maximum number of passengers on board: 44 passengers.
  • Inclusions: Transfers from any hotel within Victoria Falls city limits to Victoria Falls Station by Bushtracks Africa;
    A Welcome drink on arrival;
    Select wine, beer & a five course menu by The Victoria Falls Hotel;
    A four-hour experience on the Bushtracks Express, going on to the Victoria Falls Bridge and then out, through the bush to Jafuta Siding.
    South African Wines, local beers and soft drinks throughout the trip.;
    Return Transfers to the hotel.
  • Not included: Wines outside of the selected labels, spirits, mixes, champagne or cigars. These will be available on request. Transfers to lodges or hotels outside of the City Limits

Royal Livingstone Express:

  • This service runs on Mondays, Wednesdays & Saturdays
  • Maximum number of passengers on board: 92 passengers.
  • Inclusions: Transfers from any hotel within Livingstone city limits including the Royal Livingstone & Avani Victoria Falls Resort, Tongabezi, River Club, Sussi & Chuma and Toka Leya to the Bushtracks Station by Bushtracks Africa;
    Welcome drink on arrival;
    5 Course dinner (served onboard) by The Royal Livingstone Hotel
    South African Wines, beers and soft drinks before and during dinner;
    Return Transfers to the hotel.
  • Not included: Spirits or cigars and Transfers to lodges or hotels beyond those indicated above 

Onboard:

  • Dress Code: Smart casual, no shorts.
  • Child policy: Children below the age of 2 years are free. Children above 2 years of age pay full adult rate. Not advisable for children under the age of 12. 
  • Guests will be required to carry their passports for identification purposes only – this will not affect guests’ visa status so passports will not be stamped.
  • The train will stop on the bridge for approximately 20 minutes and guests will have a chance to disembark from the train at this point
  • Smoking is only permitted on the outside balcony of the Observation Car. Smoking is not permitted in any of the carriages. 
  • Special dietary requirements need to be communicated in advance.
  • The carriages date back to the 1930s and therefore cannot accommodate a wheelchair. Similarly, the lavatories are not big enough for wheel chair access. The station does include a ramp.
