Take a fabulous 1,160-kilometre journey over two days, the Jasper - Prince Rupert train travels between Jasper National Park in the heart of the superb Canadian Rockies, and Prince Rupert on the Pacific Coast. Thanks to an overnight layover in Prince George (don't forget to book a hotel room) you'll arrive on the Pacific Coast feeling refreshed!

Travel through the Yellowhead Pass, across British Columbia's interior plateau and down the Skeen River valley to the Pacific Coast, offering views of stunning and varied landscapes that simply cannot be seen any other way.

Along the way you will view:

  • Peaks in the Rockies between Jasper and Prince George, including the highest, Mount Robson
  • Waterfalls, rivers, lakes and great stretches of wilderness, home to salmon, seals, bears, moose, elk, deer, wolves and eagles
  • Totem poles and traces of Pioneer history along the tracks
  • The Coastal Mountains and the mighty Skeena, or 'river of mists' in the native Gitskan language, between Prince George and Prince Rupert.
