How do I validate or use my ticket?

From 31 May, when booking on the Heathrow Express you will no longer need to collect paper tickets at the station.

Travelling on Heathrow Express will be even easier and quicker, as all you need to do is board the train and go.

Your ticket details will be recorded in a barcode, which you can print from an email receipt. This code will then be scanned by the Heathrow Express staff on board the train.

Where do I join Heathrow Express at the Airport?

There are stations at Heathrow Airport, one serving Terminals 1, 2 & 3 and the other one Terminal 4. You can board the Heathrow Express at either station.

Which station does the Heathrow Express arrive into?

Heathrow Express arrives in London's Paddington Station.

What are the hours of operation?

The Heathrow Express trains run every 15 minutes.
Heathrow Express operates daily from 0507 to 2344.

Can I check in for my flight from Heathrow at Paddington Station?

As a result of the incidents of 11 Sept in USA currently only British Airways is offering a full check in facility. For the latest information please check with your airline.

Yes Heathrow Express Paddington Station has same day check in for the following airlines; British Airways, Qantas, American Airlines, Air Canada, Finnair, Thai, Sri Lankan Airlines, LOT Polish Airlines, SAS, United Airlines, Varig, British Midland, Air New Zealand, Swissair, Lufthansa, ANA, Austrian, SAS, Singapore Airlines. Full luggage check in is available up to 2 hours prior to departure.


Is there sufficient luggage space onboard the Heathrow Express?

Yes. Heathrow Express was designed with passenger's luggage requirements in mind. There are also Heathrow Express representatives on board to assist if required

Are any of the airport transfer services for London Airports included on my Britrail Pass?

Heathrow Express is included as part of the following Britrail Passes: Britrail Flexi and Consecutive Passes, Britrail England Flexi and Consecutive Passes and the Britrail + Ireland Pass.
However you must validate your Pass before travelling on Heathrow Express.

Do I need to pre - book my seats?

No prebooking is not required nor is it possible to prebook seats on this transfer.
