TGV

TGV Lyria operates services between Paris and Switzerland, cutting down travel times and creating the only direct routing from Northern France into the heart of Switzerland.

Passholder Fares explained:

There are 3 types of Passholder fares available for the TGV Lyria train. They are defined below:

• Passholder 1 fare valid for passengers carrying a Eurail Global Pass, Eurail Select Pass incl. France and Switzerland, Eurail France-Switzerland Pass. (Cheapest)
• Passholder 2 fare valid for passengers carrying a France Rail Pass, Eurail France-Italy Pass, Eurail France Spain Pass, Eurail Select Pass including France.
• Passholder 3 fare valid for passengers carrying a Swiss Pass, Swiss Flexi Pass, Swiss Saver Pass, Swiss Saver Flexi pass, Eurail Select Pass including Switzerland, Eurail Switzerland-Austria Pass.

First Class Premier (New)

The new Lyria première service is available for travel from Dec 2010 on Paris-Geneva and Paris-Lausanne/Bern routes ONLY!

• Comfortable and spacious reclining seats with generous legroom
• Welcome drink
• A gourmet cold meal, served at seat: breakfast, brunch, lunch, afternoon tea or evening meal, depending on the time of day
• The menu will be revised on a seasonal basis.
• Electric power outlets (not available on all TGV LYRIA trains)
• Access to the bar-buffet car
• Onboard taxi booking service available for first class travellers from Monday to Friday
• A wider range of daily newspapers and magazines.
  

First Class

• Comfortable and spacious reclining seats with generous legroom

• On some trains, it is possible to enjoy a meal at your seat according to time of the day - fares subject to modification. (This service is available on all TGV Lyria routes, except Paris-Geneva).
• Electric power outlets (not available on all TGV LYRIA trains)
• Access to the bar-buffet car
• Onboard taxi booking service available for first class travellers from Monday to Friday

Second Class

• Comfortable seats
• Access to the bar-buffet car

Other services

• On board nursery: equipped with a dressing table and a bottle-warmer.
• Bar-buffet car: you will find a variety of food and refreshments to enjoy in the bar car formula, meals, warm and cold dishes, sandwiches, dessert, warm and cold beverages.
• Possibilty to purchase Paris underground tickets onboard (in the buffet car).
• Facilities for disabled travellers. Dedicated car in 1st class (accessible with a second class ticket) with a built-in wheelchair lift and wheelchair space. There are also disabled facilities in the stations.
• Non-smoking coach available in 1st and 2nd class.
• On board information messages recorded in French, German and English
