Venice St Lucia to Venice Mestre

VENICE RAILWAY STATION SANTA LUCIA & MESTRE

Venice consists of 2 areas.

Most people travelling to Venice to stay or just visit for the day will need to travel via the Liberty bridge from the mainland to Venice Island and the station of "Venezia Santa Lucia". This station is located on the North West bank of the Grand Canal and has easy access to either walk to your hotel or take a water bus or private water taxi

The other station for Venice is located on the mainland a short 10 minute train ride from St Lucia and is called "Mestre"

Most trains do run via Mestre to Santa Lucia but do be aware that some do not.
