Tuscany is a highly popular region in North Central Italy, rich in history, culture and known for its amazing food, wine and hospitality. Trains connect most of the region with many regional trains servicing the main routes. Florence to Pisa is just over an hour by regional train (it is not possible to reserve seats on this service), which passes through some gorgeous small villages giving you a real feel for the Italian countryside.

You will be able to use these trains with any pass that covers Italy; however any fast trains you take will require a compulsory seat reservation before you hop on. Regional trains do not require a seat reservation.
