After a 14 hour bus and train ride from the South of Croatia we finally arrived in Llubljana at about 2am. We didn't know how far we would get on our journey that day so we didn't book any accommodation in advance and when we finally got to the capital we could not find any hostels or hotels that were open - the only thing that was open was the train station!
In need of some sleep and with no local currency or atms nearby, our only option seemed to be the comfortable concrete floor on Platform 1 of the Ljubljana train station.
A few hours sleep was all we needed.....We rolled out our sleeping bags on the platform, padlocked our backpacks together, tied our backpacks to our legs and tried to drift off to sleep....We figured if anyone was going to steal our bags then they were going to get us too!
We seemed to catch a few minutes sleep throughout the night and in the morning got kicked out of the way by the kiosk owner who was setting up tables and chairs in our "bedroom", ready for the morning rush.
We then caught a train to Bled where we caught up on a few zzzz's, it seemed like the most comfortable train ever....especially after sleeping on concrete the night before!
